Presented on the occasion of Managing Committee Meeting – 16th February 2020

The Academic Year commenced from 1st April, 2023 with a mission to impart quality education and inculcate the right spirit and positive attitude amongst the students. Throughout the Academic Session a collage of achievements, activities and celebrations were held which has made us proud.
At present school has 2998 in roll from Nursery to Class XII. There are 103 teaching staff and 31 non - teaching staff.

Academic Achievements :

“Success depends on efforts and success is the sum of small efforts”
Yet again another academic year of success and achievement unfolded with the CBSE Board results (2023-24). The students of our school brought laurels by getting good percentage in class X and XII. Total 183 students from class Xll and 227 from class X appeared for the board examination. Overall passing percentage of Class X is 99.55 and Class XII is 96.72.
In class X, 3 students scored 100 in Social Science and 3 in Information Technology. In class XII, one student scored 100 in English.
Summer Holidays began from 25th May to 27th June 2023. School reopened after the summer break on 2nd July, 2023.

TRAINING AND SEMINAR/WEBINAR:


Teachers constantly stayed updated by attending online and offline training programs and workshops throughout the year.

NEW APPOINTMENTS AND FAREWELL:

The following staff joined the Marian family:

  1. Sister Thomasina, FSLG (In-charge of Pre-Primary)
  2. Sister Rashmi, FSLG (Health In-Charge) The following staff was given farewell:
    1. Mr. Vijay Paul Sir (PTI, Served for 28 years)

      2. ACHIEVEMENTS IN SPORTS

      Sports, games and physical fitness occupy a place of importance in our curriculum. Our students participated in different sports competitions and won medals, certificates and trophies. The details are as follows:

      Inter House Competitions

      • Kho-Kho sub-junior boys/girls were held on 24/4/23 and 08/05 /23. Junior boys/girls were held on 6th and 12th July.
      • Volleyball Junior and senior boys were held on 10th and 24th April 2023.
      • Basketball junior girls, senior boys /girls took place on 24th April, 9th and 13th July 2023.
      • Throw Ball senior girls was held on 17th April 2023.
      • March past competition was held on 15th August 2023.
      • Inter House Athletic meet was held on 11th and 12th October 2023.Unnati House bagged the Championship Trophy.
      • Mini Athletic meet for Pre-primary (20th December, 2023) was a successful event where young athletes showcased their talent and enthusiasm and stood winners.

      Inter-School Competitions

      • On 26th and 27th October, 2023 Dev Bhoomi Sahodaya Athletic meet-2023 was held in our school. 19 schools of CBSE participated, and our school bagged the Championship Trophy.
      • The students participated in 19th Saint Mother Teresa Inter-School Athletic Meet-2023 and secured Championship trophy in junior category. Our school stood Third in March past too.
      • Student participated in Inter-school Football at Himalayan Progressive School.
      • Dev Bhoomi Sahodaya Inter-school Futsal Tournament in Samar Study Hall School was held from 1st to 4th November, 2023. Our students got participation certificate.
      • Students took part in Inter-school volleyball at Genesis International School organized by Dev Bhoomi Sahodaya.
      • Students participated in Inter-school Basket Ball Tournament at Chhauni Children’s Academy organized by Dev Bhoomi Sahodaya from 5th to 7th October, 2023, both Boys and girls team received participation certificate.
      • Our team secured second position in Inter-school Basket Ball Tournament organized by Gyanarthi Media College at Kashipur in the month of November, 2023.

      Other Activities: CBSE CLUSTER/DEV BHOOMI SAHODAYA

      • Our school team (boys) participated in CBSE cluster Kho-Kho at D.G.R. Public School Patla, Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
      • Under 14 category, Kho-Kho competition was held from 20th to 25th December, 2023 at Master’s International School, Kashipur. Our school secured third position.
      • Our students also participated in CBSE cluster Athletic Meet which was held on 23rd October, 2023 at Luxar.
      • Our School also participated in Badminton organized by Dev Bhoomi Sahodaya at Little Scholars Kashipur.

      Other Achievements:

      • Shourya Srivastava of class X student, requires a special mention as he had been selected as the Captain of Uttarakhand (Under-16) Cricket Team. He played matches against Karnataka, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Delhi. He took 4 wickets against Jammu and Kashmir and two each against Delhi, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. It is a proud achievement for our school.
      • Anshuman Bisht of Class 6 and Anshdeep of Class 5 got Sports Scholarship ‘Mukhymantari Udiyaman khiladi Unnayan Yojana’ of Uttrakhand Govt.

      CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

      All four Houses managed by Teacher In-Charges, House Captains and Vice Captains performed their duties by conducting the day-to-day activities, competitions in systematic and disciplined manner. Regular Inter House activities were held; where the students participated and displayed their caliber and talents.

      • Inter House Dance Competition (August) (Classes I to V)
      • Inter House Carol Singing Competition (December) (Classes I to V)

      Summer Camp – 2023:

      The summer camp for classes 1 to 8 and extra classes for 9 to 12 started on 15th May 2023 and culminated on 25th May, 2023. Fun filled activities were conducted for children to learn new skills during summer camp.
      All the competitions were well spaced throughout the year and students got an ample opportunity to take part in activities of their choice.

      ITERARY ACTIVITIES:

      In the Academic Session 2023-24, the committee conducted the following competitions:

      • Hindi Speech VI- VIII (25th August)
      • English Debate XI- XII (22nd August)
      • Sight and Thought VI- VIII (19th August)
      • English Quiz VI-VIII (18th October)
      • Hindi and English Recitation I-II
      • Hindi and English Handwriting III-V
      • Spell Bee (Classes I & II) (August)
      • Cross Word Puzzle (II to V) (August)
      • English Story Telling (I to V) (October)

      ART AND CRAFT ACTIVITIES:

      The committee of art and craft, organised various activities for different classes throughout the session like Ornament , Portrait, Rakhi, Flower, Bell, Wreath, Rangoli, Diya, Joy stick and Flag making, Earthen vase decoration, Pot Painting, clay modeling and Painting on Christmas scene. Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and performed commendably.

      SOCIAL ACTIVITIES:

      The students generously contributed and conducted the following Social Welfare activities class wise.

      • Pre-primary classes visited Differently abled children (U.S.R Indu Samiti) Basia at Peerumadara, Ramnagar.
      • Classes I-III visited Kusht Ashram, Tanda Ujjain, Kashipur on 19th December 2023.
      • Classes IV and V visited Government School, Barkhera Pandey and Kusht Ashram, Ramnagar on 7th December 2023.
      • Classes VII and VIII visited Motinagar, Kathgodam on 6th December 2023.

      Young Students Movement (YSM)

      • Class IX students visited Ashadeep (Specially abled children), Badapu, Band Government Hospital, Kashipur on 15th December 2023. They exemplified compassion by distributing fruits to patients in government hospitals, Primary school children and Underprivileged kids in the city.
      • YSM meeting was held on 2nd September 2023.

      MORNING ASSEMBLY:

      There was active participation of students from different classes and sections for conducting assembly. Scripture reading, Universal Prayer and Hymns were conducted with devotion. Children spoke articles on various topics with confidence. School band and musical instruments played by students added devotion and meaning to the assembly. We had special assembly on Raksha Bandhan and Diwali.

      External Competition:

      • Olympiad: Many students participated in English, Hindi, Maths, Science and Cyber Olympiads. Some of them got selected for the next level.
      • Inspire Award: Our students participated in Inspire Award.

      INVESTITURE CEREMONY

      Investiture ceremony for Senior Secondary and Primary was held on 7th February, 2023 and 19th April, 2023 respectively; to showcase their leadership skills and abilities of the students. This was created not only; just to support system for our school administration but also to make them responsible future leaders of our nation.

      CELEBRATIONS AND NATIONAL FESTIVALS:

      • Graduation Day ceremony of UKG was introduced for the first time in our school. It was held on 28th March, 2023.
      • Vidhya Aarambh was held on 1st April, 2023 for children before they began their formal education, followed by Orientation Program for their parents by Rev. Fr. Rakesh Prabhu.
      • Annual Day was held on 29th November, 2023. The meaningful Dance-drama and other programs were highly appreciated and was an impactful event of the year.
      • Felicitation Ceremony for the toppers of classes X and Xll was also held on 29th November, 2023.
      • Celebrations like labour Day, Manager’s Day and Teacher’s Day were celebrated with great enthusiasm. Students bestowed their intense love, honour and respect for them.
      • On 22nd December, Christmas Day was celebrated. MISTLETOE MANIA and Carol singing were held to spread the message of love, joy and peace.
      • ‘Run for Unity' marathon and interfaith prayer meeting was held on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd Oct.
      • To showcase the feelings of patriotism Independence Day and Republic Day was celebrated meaningfully. Different activities were conducted on Independence week celebration.
      • Farewell for class XII will be held on 3rd February, 2024.

      PARENT TEACHER MEETING

      Parent–Teacher Meetings were organised on regular basis. This year we had six PTMs. It gave opportunities to the parents to know about their wards’ activities in the school and also to give feedback on the progress of their wards.

      ASSESSMENT:

      • Periodic Test 1 started from 6th May, 2023.
      • Periodic Test 2 started from 3rd August, 2023.
      • Term 1 Exam started from 14th September, 2023.
      • Result Declaration of Term I was on 18th October, 2023.
      • Term 2 Examination will begin from 20th February, 2024.
      • Result Declaration will be on 27th March, 2024.
      • Pre-Board 1 for classes X and XII was held on 9th December, 2023.
      • Pre-Board 2 for classes X and XII started from 25thJanuary, 2024.

      Many milestones have been achieved and many still have to be achieved. We still continue our unceasing efforts to mould the young minds into well balanced personalities.
